Hi! I’m GiGi.
Lover of God. Wife. Mother. Grandmother. Teacher.
Good steward. (Well, most of the time.)
Thank you for visiting our “About us” page. It’s hard to explain, but something happened once I turned 50. I think my kids think it’s a mid-life crisis. I call it a mid-life revelation. Maybe it’s the amazing people God has placed, and continues to place, in my life. Maybe it’s seeing my amazing girls grow up and become young women. Maybe it’s seeing the beautiful, crystal-blue eyes of my adorable grand daughter.
All I know is, that God has blessed me in SO MANY WAYS! I never want to disappoint Him! When I say blessed – I mean the good and the bad! There are times when I humbly thank Him for the times He brought me to my knees. Those difficult times made me the person I am today and brought me closer to Him! Turning a half-century-old (wow, I think that’s the first time I have ever said that) has brought me to an amazing, close relationship with my Lord. My mid-life revelations are many, but I know the most important one I have learned is that I must be obedient to what God puts in my heart. From the famous words of my dear friend, Charlotte, (the other half of GoodStewardSisters.com): “I would rather offend man than offend God.”
One night in my prayer time, God spoke to my heart about dreams. More specifically – my dreams. I could not simply be content with my day-to-day reality. God wanted me to dream BIG! Everywhere I turned after that, I was hearing about dreams…
At church. Conversations with friends. Talking to my youngest daughter about her college major.
It was not about the “sweet dreams” of our nightly slumber. It was about the dreams and aspirations that God puts on our hearts which sometimes scare us half to death! My dream was to build a website/blog to honor God and to encourage others to be good stewards of their: TIME, TALENTS, and TREASURES.
DISCLAIMER: This dream DOES NOT come from expertise in all of these areas! Sometimes (more often than not) it comes from my struggles. However, God has used my struggles in these areas to draw me closer to Him. My prayer for you is that you are encouraged to be a good steward and that you are given practical tools to help you on this journey. Thank you for visiting our website!
